I know Some of you may infact be pissed (If anyone even visits this site anymore) But I have a good explanation and a bad one BOTH OF WHICH ARE TRUE!
Good reason: I got orange box about a month ago and dropped all projects for tf and portal
Bad reason: I got lazy.
The Real reason is Im considering quitting. When i first started texture hacking I had a feeling in my head that gave me the abbility to think of new ideas, figure stuff out, and help myself when hacking. I was incredibly happy at this time. But slowly I lost that feeling, Lost ideas, and motivation. I became lazy and stoped hacking. I tried to say to myself “Hey Dumbass the comunitys going to give you the worlds largest Middle finger if you dont do any work” But then i found myself saying why.
Why oh Why do I waste my time on this game, Test after test, Texture after texture. Everything seemed like a rut that i was stuck in And nothing was leaning in my direction. I thought long, And found no answer to my questions, And thus I lost all interest. Losing intrest cause the site to only be updated by pinutk and once in a while Metaridley, But that wasnt enough to keep the site alive. Were pretty much dead. I dont blame anyone other then myself.
Im pretty sure most other texture hackers after hearing news of this will pop out the rum and fine wine glasses, And throw themselves a party and to them i say nothing but this

It seems everyone is sharing in your sentiment. Every texture site is losing at least 1 or more members and it seems that with every new advancement the old seems less relevant and its becoming a catch up game with no end. It’s cool from a spectators perspective but when you are actually in the race and the reward is nothing but a few thumbs up it starts getting old so good luck and I hope you get a chance to enjoy the hacking race cuz its getting pretty good. lol a couple weeks go by and everything goes crazy huh.

He doesn’t make textures he goes and finds texture sites like ours for example and downloads them to use and while searching sites he may come upon the quit posts
yeah that’s exactly it pinutk, I’ve come across allot of those same posts where ppl quit and stuff and since this was one of the first sites I visited I decided to post. I don’t consider myself any more informed than anyone especially since only started this whole wii hacking stuff a couple months ago and I haven’t done much of anything except customize brawl for my liking like allot of my friends do. I cant speak for anyone and how they feel but from reading what you said and comparing it to what I’ve read before it all has the same tone, not to take away anything from your post, but it sounds similar. Good luck, with your new found free time and just for shits and giggles I’ve only made 2 textures for myself and one of them was captain planet…which i later found out someone had in there site hidden away lol

Hey man, Im a fellow developer. I don’t recommend quitting just because its boring and you have no ideas. Once, I was a lowly hacker, running around with texture hacks, doing absolutely nothing else but furthering my enjoyment. But once I figured people were going to stop working on Brawl, (because its old) I decided to become a texture hacker meself. It IS hard, and it IS boring, but once you get too used to these factors, it gets worse. But then, when you think of your own skills, how great you’ve done in supplying needy people with what they want, you feel great about yourself, once you consider how godly you are in the Brawl world! So hear ye, hear ye, all that wish to quit this texture biz, my message to you is simple; Don’t quit unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you’re never going to come back. Because once, I traded my game, Super Mario Sunshine, for some other game, and then I started missing it. Thats what it would be like. So consider that.
